<section id="H0CBE6D7BAEE5450780246D8561834D13" section-type="section-one" display-inline="no-display-inline"><enum>1.</enum><header>Reauthorization of the Congressional Award Act</header> 
<subsection id="HA8FA2F8D825C4E9DA44DFAA54001AE71"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Extension of Requirements Regarding Financial Operations of Congressional Award Program; Noncompliance With Requirements</header><text>Section 104(c)(2)(A) of the Congressional Award Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/2/804">2 U.S.C. 804(c)(2)(A)</external-xref>) is amended by striking <quote>and 2004</quote> and inserting <quote>2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, and 2009</quote>.</text></subsection> 
<subsection id="HE21ADA2DA34A4BA29EB5728FCD6B4600"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Termination</header> 
<paragraph id="H28D4E755BA2C402ABFA84F2FC818A582"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In general</header><text>Section 108 of the Congressional Award Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/2/808">2 U.S.C. 808</external-xref>) is amended by striking <quote>October 1, 2004</quote> and inserting <quote>October 1, 2009</quote>.</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H525303B7104B491C8DC67D563E552581"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Savings provision</header><text>During the period of October 1, 2004, through the date of the enactment of this section, all actions and functions of the Congressional Award Board under the Congressional Award Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/2/801">2 U.S.C. 801 et seq.</external-xref>) shall have the same effect as though no lapse or termination of the Board ever occurred.</text></paragraph></subsection> 
<subsection id="H3302C273DF9E4DE6AFE05F2D959482E8"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Technical Amendments</header><text>The Congressional Award Act is amended—</text> 
<paragraph id="H65D3EA9A9A814CEE9D00A92DE0931078"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in section 103 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/2/803">2 U.S.C. 803</external-xref>)—</text> 
<subparagraph id="H49D6B21758CD4F8EA34658A9A58D17EF"><enum>(A)</enum><text>in subparagraphs (B) and (C) of subsection (a)(1), by striking <quote>a a local</quote> and inserting <quote>a local</quote>; and</text></subparagraph> 
<subparagraph id="H0F88974B5D7D449EB6005BCAD6008468"><enum>(B)</enum><text>in subsection (b)(3)(B), by striking <quote>section</quote> each place it appears and inserting <quote>subsection</quote>; and</text></subparagraph></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H1FE2FB5416A84BFC8E53D07B1F24003F"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in section 104(c)(2)(A) (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/2/804">2 U.S.C. 804(c)(2)(A)</external-xref>), by inserting a comma after <quote>1993</quote>.</text></paragraph></subsection></section>
