<official-title>To amend the Controlled Substances Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/21/848">21 U.S.C. 848</external-xref>) to provide increased penalties for methamphetamine traffickers.</official-title>

<section id="H3999286DFA2A409D9E8448034E4BFF67" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Increased Penalties for Methamphetamine Traffickers Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section> 
<section id="HCDB703F7FB8C4B18B052EA00B49E3DE6"><enum>2.</enum><header>Controlled Substances Act amendment</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 408 of the Controlled Substances Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/21/848">21 U.S.C. 848</external-xref>) is amended by adding at the end the following:</text> 
<quoted-block style="OLC" id="H644E32BC8AEB4A33B78B482F52026308" display-inline="no-display-inline"> 
<subsection id="H50A78EEB173E4ECE9EB6C3F1D7802196"><enum>(s)</enum><header>Special provision for methamphetamine</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">For the purposes of subsection (b), in the case of continuing criminal enterprise involving methamphetamine or its salts, isomers, or salts of isomers, paragraph (2)(A) shall be applied by substituting <quote>100</quote> for <quote>300</quote>, and paragraph (2)(B) shall be applied by substituting <quote>$1,000,000</quote> for <quote>$10 million dollars</quote>.</text></subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></section>
