<section id="H339B960ACA494E0EA485C49BF6EA00F8" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Financial Safeguards for Hurricane Survivors Act of 2005</short-title></quote>.</text></section> 
<section id="H9B1A434F9ABB40B700F2E800FD4DD6DA"><enum>2.</enum><header>Amendment to Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 1501(a) of the Bankruptcy Abuse Prevention and Consumer Protection Act of 2005 (<external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/109/8">Public Law 109–8</external-xref>) is amended by striking <quote>180 days</quote> and inserting <quote>910 days</quote>.</text></section> 
<section id="H547852E696DD4AD394CC0459D62FDFBB"><enum>3.</enum><header>Effective date</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act and the amendment by this Act shall take effect of September 1, 2005.</text> </section>
