<section id="HED3534C7E9E546B5BEA94758EF869C7B" section-type="section-one" display-inline="no-display-inline"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Driver Protection Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section>
<section id="H2E637EBE39724964B659BD2B13A9FC00"><enum>2. </enum><header>Protection for certain workers</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">An employee who is granted a vision waiver by the Secretary of Transportation pursuant to <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/49/31315">section 31315(a)</external-xref> of title 49, United States Code, may not be demoted or fired on the basis of a vision impairment, if the employee—</text>
<paragraph id="H13C8426F51A140E587B258F15EFBC300"><enum>(1)</enum><text>has only 1 valid driver’s license at any time;</text></paragraph>
<paragraph id="HA912062200EF43DB848EF5AED2B62083"><enum>(2)</enum><text>has never had a license suspended, revoked, or canceled as a result of a conviction for a moving violation;</text></paragraph>
<paragraph id="H80A66A394396403291B54FA3A0F17165"><enum>(3)</enum><text>has never been convicted of a serious traffic violation as defined in <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/49/31301">section 31301</external-xref> of title 49, United States Code;</text></paragraph>
<paragraph id="HCB18E6708B0D4B4DAE652F0055A5F577"><enum>(4)</enum><text>has never been convicted of more than 1 moving violation and such violation did not involve personal injury or significant damage to property; and</text></paragraph>
<paragraph id="HCBBF452F38954F7E8B7883C47F41AB12"><enum>(5)</enum><text>has no record of an accident in which the driver was at fault.</text></paragraph></section>
