<section id="H9AE178B8BC934F00BFE8264F9D2CE277" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Limitation on Indian land eligible for gaming</header>
<subsection id="HEC08C7EC53EE491E9F31EC406C900873"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">This section may be cited as the <quote>Limitation of Tribal Gambling to Existing Tribal Lands Act of 2005</quote>.</text> </subsection>
<subsection id="HE08C9A17D78146F8B1DDE0E4471C9298"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Repeal of certain exceptions</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 20(b)(1) of the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/25/2719">25 U.S.C. 2719(b)(1)</external-xref>) is amended—</text> 
<paragraph id="H3B0821E905014A1D97AED8B7C9B30091"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by striking subparagraph (B);</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="HDBE8678C71F4491F94B4CD4367189BD9"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in subparagraph (A) by striking <quote>; or</quote> and inserting a period; and </text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H061A8E681812463FA523FF62DE3C694"><enum>(3)</enum><text>by striking <quote>Subsection (a) of this section</quote> and all that follows through <quote>(A) the Secretary</quote> and inserting <quote>Subsection (a) of this section will not apply when the Secretary</quote>.</text></paragraph></subsection>
<subsection id="H7DB8B7E7BD0B4D17A0D551F354524DF"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Approval of State legislature</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 20(b)(1)(A) of the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/25/2719">25 U.S.C. 2719(b)(1)(A)</external-xref>) is amended by striking <quote>only if the Governor</quote> and inserting <quote>only if the Governor and the legislature</quote>. </text></subsection> 
<subsection id="HB40F8DD7DB604263B90010CE493B78F"><enum>(d)</enum><header>Applicability</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The amendments made by this section shall take effect on the date of the enactment of this Act. Such amendments shall not apply to lands regulated, on the date of the enactment of this Act, by a valid Tribal-State compact that was entered into under the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act before the date of the enactment of this Act.</text> </subsection></section>
