<section id="H1EC28E005EDA4B41835B832E682CE10" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>OTC Medicine Tax Fairness Act of 2005</short-title></quote>.</text></section> 
<section id="H8ADDA0DD1F4C4E2799A4F69500C649E5"><enum>2.</enum><header>Repeal of medicine and drugs limitation on deduction for medical care</header> 
<subsection id="H48F622F32C054E2C90009B26B1818B6"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text><external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/26/213">Section 213</external-xref> of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 (relating to medical, dental, etc., expenses) is amended by striking subsection (b).</text></subsection> 
<subsection id="HB6E858B642D54C21AEAFF9004FC2C5CF"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Conforming amendment</header><text>Section 213(d) of such Code is amended by striking paragraph (3).</text></subsection> 
<subsection id="HB2F58A4B5FD84EF6AF6E2B0905B2BDCB"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Effective date</header><text>The amendments made by this section shall apply to taxable years beginning after the date of the enactment of this Act.</text></subsection></section>
