<legis-type>AN ACT</legis-type> 
<official-title display="yes">To amend the National Trails System Act to update the feasibility and suitability study originally prepared for the Trail of Tears National Historic Trail and provide for the inclusion of new trail segments, land components, and campgrounds associated with that trail, and for other purposes. </official-title>

<section id="H4372F411119541B782001F03C62DF841" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Revision of feasibility and suitability study of trail of tears national historic trail</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 5(a)(16) of the National Trails System Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/16/1244">16 U.S.C. 1244(a)(16)</external-xref>) is amended—</text> 
<paragraph id="H5A300B2AF5CE472DA9CFD7852664BC3F"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in subparagraph (B), by striking <quote>subsections</quote> and inserting <quote>sections</quote>; and</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="HF5ABAB9B122046D797610374F0B4E1CB"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by adding at the end the following new subparagraphs:</text>

<subparagraph id="HC54E253375614472B038295013A559F3"><enum>(C)</enum><text>Not later than 6 months after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of the Interior shall complete the remaining criteria and submit to Congress a study regarding the feasibility and suitability of designating, as additional components of the Trail of Tears National Historic Trail, the following routes and land components by which the Cherokee Nation was removed to Oklahoma:</text> 
<clause id="H0F8038B2CC3C4339B2375FDAA5E773D5"><enum>(i)</enum><text>The Benge and Bell routes.</text></clause> 
<clause id="H254FF6D685DC4F4299E9C91701F7E7E"><enum>(ii)</enum><text>The land components of the designated water routes in Alabama, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Tennessee.</text></clause> 
<clause id="H00C42F025A714A0490BBA1A0265DB472"><enum>(iii)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The routes from the collection forts in Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee to the emigration depots.</text></clause> 
<clause id="H8CE810BDCE584AC49982B144AAEA2708"><enum>(iv)</enum><text>The related campgrounds located along the routes and land components described in clauses (i) through (iii). </text></clause></subparagraph> 
<subparagraph id="HEC73AF01E6C54B94BA4977C6BBF4F2DF"><enum>(D)</enum><text>No additional funds are authorized to be appropriated to carry out subparagraph (C). The Secretary may accept donations for the Trail from private, nonprofit, or tribal organizations.</text></subparagraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph></section>
