<section id="HBB83DC652D98487D00BFEE15778BEB55" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Prohibition on provision of United States foreign assistance to certain countries</header> 
<subsection id="H9692533F4B2D4410004D7B54447C525E"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Prohibition</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">No United States foreign assistance may be provided to any country the government of which refuses to extradite to the United States, upon the request of the United States Government, any individual accused in the United States of killing a law enforcement officer.</text></subsection> 
<subsection id="HA4BA63C451AE42E1B9BBF4763C6B00F4"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Definitions</header><text>In this section:</text> 
<paragraph id="H38D6D03B50C04188B7E663C10041CE71"><enum>(1)</enum><header>United States foreign assistance</header><text>The term <quote>United States foreign assistance</quote> means assistance under the foreign operations, export financing, and related programs appropriations Act for a fiscal year, and assistance under the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961.</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H48DFA974A90145688F5DA5B331838F37"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Law enforcement officer</header><text>The term <quote>law enforcement officer</quote> means an individual involved in crime and juvenile delinquency control or reduction, or enforcement of the laws, for the United States Government, the government of a State or the District of Columbia, or a local government, including, but not limited to, police, corrections, probation, parole, and judicial officers.</text> </paragraph></subsection></section>
