<section id="H9DC11AE436D340099401187C00B6961" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Disabled Public Safety Officers Fairness Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section> 
<section id="H2BA2E45DB94D405BA24CFC897E7C4460"><enum>2.</enum><header>Disability benefits for public safety officers disabled before enactment of Public Safety Officer disability law</header> 
<subsection id="H0FB9D113C7D54136B0C1CEE7F3292BDE"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 1201(b) of the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act of 1968 is amended by inserting after <quote>determines that a public safety officer has</quote> the following: <quote>, whether before, on, or after the date of the enactment of this Act,</quote>. </text> </subsection> 
<subsection id="H3D0731D1BB784503A4109EF718BDF358"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Applicability</header><text>The amendment made by subsection (a) applies to any public safety officer alive on or after the date of the enactment of this Act.</text></subsection></section>
