<section id="H5BCDD156C5A54D30AA295700C3FAB3B2" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>TRICARE Standard coverage for members of reserve components who serve at least one year on active duty overseas</header> 
<subsection id="H96735EDAB4F04C35B1339FEE66AC0408"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header> 
<paragraph id="HB7F9A01BA5984F0FBA22989BDFD0705" display-inline="no-display-inline"><enum>(1)</enum><header>TRICARE Standard coverage</header><text><external-xref legal-doc="usc-chapter" parsable-cite="usc-chapter/10/55">Chapter 55</external-xref> of title 10, United States Code, is amended by inserting after <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/10/1076d">section 1076d</external-xref> the following new section:</text>

<section id="H6413101F2CD24E3F878833E711331FA4"><enum>1076e. </enum><header>TRICARE program: coverage for members of reserve components who serve at least one year on active duty overseas</header> 
<subsection id="HF1627E10F2FF48FFAC7F41EB07E63625"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Eligibility</header><text>Notwithstanding section 1076d of this title, a member of the Ready Reserve or Retired Reserve of a reserve component of the armed forces is eligible for health benefits under TRICARE Standard after the member completes service on active duty to which the member was called or ordered for a period of more than 30 days under a provision of law referred to in section 101(a)(13)(B) if the member served, for one year or more pursuant to such call or order—</text> 
<paragraph id="H6A2C196110BE4992848100BA9993B286"><enum>(1)</enum><text>continuously on active duty; and</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H24F9195E45CC492CAA43694BCA1866FC"><enum>(2)</enum><text>while assigned to a duty station at a location outside the United States. </text></paragraph></subsection> 
<subsection id="H2667DEC63DF546CEA3D893961BD7BE0"><enum>(b) </enum><header>Period of coverage</header><text>TRICARE Standard coverage of a member under this section, on the basis of active-duty service performed as described in subsection (a)—</text> 
<paragraph id="HA7596E9367C348689B3D2BDC4D000482"><enum>(1)</enum><text>begins upon the expiration of the member’s entitlement to care and benefits under section 1145(a) of this title that is based on the same active-duty service; and</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="HBF4081006BFA46EDBCAF26E756E4C1AC"><enum>(2) </enum><text>terminates upon the termination of the member’s service in the Ready Reserve or Retired Reserve.</text></paragraph></subsection> 
<subsection id="H54434D1BC7D2461CB3329F49BC79CE67"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Family members</header><text>While a member of a reserve component is covered by TRICARE Standard under this section, the members of the immediate family of such member are eligible for TRICARE Standard coverage as dependents of the member.</text></subsection> 
<subsection id="HDEEBE7ABB2484D8E9EE0320C6C3630"><enum>(d)</enum><header>Premiums</header><text>A member of a reserve component covered by TRICARE Standard under this section shall pay a premium for that coverage. The premium shall be the same as the premiums prescribed under section 1076d of this title for members covered by TRICARE Standard under that section.</text></subsection> 
<subsection id="H67C1C666AECD4D2EBD5CB1F4971E137D"><enum>(e)</enum><header>Relationship to section <enum-in-header>1076d</enum-in-header></header><text>In the case of a member of a reserve component eligible for TRICARE Standard coverage under this section and under section 1076d of this title, the member may chose the coverage that is most advantageous to the member. </text></subsection> 
<subsection id="H9B759485FAD64C18AFFDA4773E5D64DA"><enum>(f)</enum><header>Definition</header><text>In this section, the terms <quote>immediate family</quote> and <quote>TRICARE Standard</quote> have the meanings provided in section 1076d of this title.</text></subsection> 
<subsection id="H0767816DB63E4295B0771336CAEB09F0"><enum>(g)</enum><header>Regulations</header><text>The Secretary of Defense, in consultation with the other administering Secretaries, shall prescribe regulations for the administration of this section.</text></subsection></section><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="HC53AC25CF86048209439D08902522369"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Clerical amendment</header><text>The table of sections at the beginning of such chapter is amended by inserting after the item relating to section1076d the following new item:</text>

<subsection id="HF564D6F885D0496D8E85D4D6070014C6" display-inline="no-display-inline"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Effective date</header><text><external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/10/1076e">Section 1076e</external-xref> of title 10, United States Code, as added by subsection (a), shall take effect on the date of the enactment of this Act.</text></subsection></section>
