<section id="H0353ACCBDFC64F368B54B8546C5D0027" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Requirement for TRICARE program reimbursement of institutional providers of health care services to be identical to reimbursement under medicare</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline"><external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/10/1079">Section 1079(j)(2)</external-xref> of title 10, United States Code, is amended by striking <quote>determined to the extent practicable in accordance with the same reimbursement rules as apply to payments to</quote> and inserting <quote>identical to the amount of payments that would be paid to</quote>.</text></section> 
<section id="H894EB97EDE114F49965EB889DF1DC62B"><enum>2.</enum><header>Requirement for TRICARE program to contract with at least one teaching hospital in urban areas for delivery of health care</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline"><external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/10/1097">Section 1097(a)</external-xref> of title 10, United States Code, is amended_</text> 
<paragraph id="HC513B81963384F2DAA42831DEB1FA34C"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by inserting <quote>(1)</quote> before <quote>The Secretary of Defense</quote>;</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H8C2F01B82F354F289EE3521E6FA6EFBC"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in the second sentence, by striking <quote>The</quote> and inserting <quote>Subject to paragraph (2), the</quote>;</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H3946CCA3502640F68B61A7DB3C1F1DE"><enum>(3)</enum><text>by redesignating paragraphs (1), (2), (3), and (4) as subparagraphs (A), (B), (C), and (D), respectively; and</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H4FABFC1D0FB049A1AC42CD24640022A7"><enum>(4)</enum><text>by adding at the end the following new paragraph: </text> 
<quoted-block style="USC" id="HCAA04B4FA61545C6B82CE05EC91E9F03" display-inline="no-display-inline"> 
<paragraph id="HED97E15F66F2421C9F6339D691F315BC" indent="up1"><enum>(2) </enum><text>In contracting for the delivery of health care under this section, the Secretary shall contract with at least one teaching hospital in each large urban area. In this paragraph—</text> 
<subparagraph id="H52A830350FE145D8B4B03109F5D116E"><enum>(A)</enum><text>the term <quote>teaching hospital</quote> means a hospital which has a teaching program approved as specified in section 1861(b)(6) of the Social Security Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/1395x">42 U.S.C. 1395x(b)(6)</external-xref>); and</text></subparagraph> 
<subparagraph id="H1BCAF6DBCD1C42A792D7727F4524C86"><enum>(B)</enum><text>the term <quote>large urban area</quote> has the meaning given that term in the second sentence of section 1886(d)(2)(D) of the Social Security Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/1395ww">42 U.S.C. 1395ww(d)(2)(D)</external-xref>).</text></subparagraph></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block> </paragraph></section>
