<section id="H2400B26916684995A24749FF418FA2E0" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>TRICARE Equity Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section>
<section id="H0E5C8CD38007468CA38E2D2E033FB765"><enum>2.</enum><header>Waiver of copayments and deductibles for certain members of uniformed services</header>
<subsection id="HC943997866B044A4BA62C5855BFFEE1D"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text>Any member or former member of a uniformed service, or dependent of such a member, who is eligible for health benefits under the TRICARE program under <external-xref legal-doc="usc-chapter" parsable-cite="usc-chapter/10/55">chapter 55</external-xref> of title 10, United States Code, and who has another insurance plan or program that provides primary coverage for health benefits shall not be required to pay any copayment or annual deductible under the TRICARE program.</text></subsection>
<subsection id="HF51FFE553DB64E2688628649F85C783"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Regulations</header><text>The Secretary of Defense shall prescribe regulations to carry out subsection (a).</text></subsection>
<subsection id="H44ECCDE23ABA4954938344FC7563E2F3"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Effective date</header><text>Subsection (a) shall apply with respect to health benefits provided after the date of the enactment of this Act.</text></subsection></section>
