<section section-type="section-one" id="H1F85B82998A443ECB754003EF0080040" display-inline="no-display-inline"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Montgomery GI Bill Flexibility Act of 2005</short-title></quote>.</text></section> 
<section id="H38FC4DD618014278848FB35B09BECBB"><enum>2.</enum><header>Extension of time limitation for use of Montgomery GI Bill entitlement</header> 
<subsection id="HAF2CBF4244F8425DAC52001F846F9B56"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Extension of limitation period</header><text><external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/38/3031">Section 3031</external-xref> of title 38, United States Code, is amended by striking <quote>10-year</quote> each place it appears and inserting <quote>14-year</quote>.</text></subsection> 
<subsection id="HEB636C6861C6459AAF4C8D4521E28445"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Effective date and applicability</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The amendment made by subsection (a) shall take effect on the date of the enactment of this Act, and shall apply to individuals whose entitlement to educational assistance under <external-xref legal-doc="usc-chapter" parsable-cite="usc-chapter/38/30">chapter 30</external-xref> of title 38, United States Code, has not expired as of such date under the provisions of section 3031 of such title as in effect on the date preceding such date of enactment.</text></subsection></section>
