<section id="HCBA22B47C68F4A988D9ED5914D11BD80" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>TV Consumer Choice Act</short-title></quote>.</text> </section> 
<section id="H0462BD066B4641F9ABA3932178444935"><enum>2.</enum><header>Prohibition on requiring digital television tuners in television receivers</header> 
<subsection id="HC5AF759A4A6846E08CD78FFC37863929"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Prohibition</header><text>Neither section 303(s) of the <act-name parsable-cite="CA34">Communications Act of 1934</act-name> (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/47/303">47 U.S.C. 303(s)</external-xref>) nor any other provision of such Act shall be construed to authorize the Federal Communications Commission to require, or prescribe any schedule for the implementation of, digital television reception capability in television broadcast reception equipment.</text></subsection> 
<subsection id="H812DE140086D4EA8AA3BF132002B0073"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Commission actions nullified</header><text>The requirements and schedule established by the Commission for the implementation of digital television reception capability in television broadcast reception equipment as contained in section 15.117(i) of the Commission’s regulations (47 CFR 15.117(i)) as modified in FCC 02–230 (August 8, 2002), shall not be effective except as expressly hereafter provided by Act of Congress.</text></subsection></section>
