<section section-type="section-one" id="HDFE67DB86EF04C07926B3002D6B6632C" display-inline="no-display-inline"><enum>1.</enum><header>Full benefits for disabled widows and widowers without regard to age</header> 
<subsection id="H6AADB814751F431FB5B1514FAA6F1000"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Eligibility for widow’s insurance benefits</header><text>Section 202(e) of the <act-name parsable-cite="SSA">Social Security Act</act-name> (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/402">42 U.S.C. 402(e)</external-xref>) is amended—</text> 
<paragraph id="H513127D3B31E4705BC256BBD2C46AE7E"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in paragraph (1)(B)(ii), by striking <quote>has attained age 50 but has not attained age 60 and</quote>;</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H886F7FC910B042579B2B64F2AFF759D"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in paragraph (3)(A), by striking <quote>after attaining age 50 if she was entitled before such marriage occurred</quote> and inserting <quote>after having been entitled</quote>; and</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H7EBEDC54F59E45E392F2D535CBD4AF92"><enum>(3)</enum><text>in paragraph (3)(B), by striking <quote>after attaining age 50</quote>.</text></paragraph></subsection> 
<subsection id="H19203E416D3443B3935C6B911B099699"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Eligibility for widower’s insurance benefits</header><text>Section 202(f) of such Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/402">42 U.S.C. 402(f)</external-xref>) is amended—</text> 
<paragraph id="H0148C8B4468F4538937B96D3DCA9FBF3"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in paragraph (1)(B)(ii), by striking <quote>has attained age 50 but has not attained age 60 and</quote>;</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H2AF3403FF5CE463EB3F84DBB0255C64C"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in paragraph (3)(A), by striking <quote>after attaining age 50 if he was entitled before such marriage occurred</quote> and inserting <quote>after having been entitled</quote>; and</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H10D76FBB16B04D9BAABE89B9DBA268B5"><enum>(3)</enum><text>in paragraph (3)(B), by striking <quote>after attaining age 50</quote>.</text></paragraph></subsection></section> 
<section id="H2385535360FA402FA4C4C4A3C70032EF"><enum>2.</enum><header>Exemption from reductions in benefits</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 202(q) of the <act-name parsable-cite="SSA">Social Security Act</act-name> (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/402">42 U.S.C. 402(q)</external-xref>) is amended—</text> 
<paragraph id="HA8ABB82333F04633A6EF0771C7E78679"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in paragraph (3)(A), by striking <quote>age 50</quote> and inserting <quote>age 60</quote>; and</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H7DBA6FD5FFF54CFAA107B5AF6F00011"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by adding at the end the following new paragraph:</text>

<paragraph indent="up1" id="H8CCB8F1708214A09B7FA25D1F7E8898"><enum>(12)</enum><text>Notwithstanding any other provision of this section, there shall be no reduction under this subsection in the widow’s or widower’s insurance benefit of an individual for any month in which such individual is under a disability (as defined in section 223(d)); and none of the provisions of this subsection shall apply with respect to such benefit even though such benefit may have been so reduced prior to the onset of such disability.</text></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph></section> 
<section id="H61F685D4FB0344FEA981E4F3095CE817"><enum>3.</enum><header>Effective date and redetermination of benefits</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">The amendments made by this Act shall apply with respect to monthly insurance benefits payable under title II of the <act-name parsable-cite="SSA">Social Security Act</act-name> for months after the month in which this Act is enacted. The Commissioner of Social Security (without the necessity of any application therefor) shall redetermine the amount of any widow’s or widower’s insurance benefit which is payable for the month in which this Act is enacted in order to reflect such amendments as provided in the preceding sentence.</text></section>
