<section id="HF91F2FD8EAC74616A74687AE1D678274" section-type="section-one" display-inline="no-display-inline"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Maintenance Fund Act of 2005</short-title></quote>.</text></section> 
<section id="H3EBC1FAFB730436598D37C4E0738ECFA"><enum>2.</enum><header>Cooperative agreement with respect to National Law Enforcement Memorial Maintenance Fund</header> 
<subsection id="H5CB4694D336F47958568BC3E82EB76D4"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 201 of <external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/104/329">Public Law 104–329</external-xref> is amended by adding at the end the following new subsection:</text>

<subsection id="H760559DD1C6246FCA350A2D471EC26C9"><enum>(d)</enum><header>Cooperative agreement</header> 
<paragraph id="H11F66E9E79074185B8FD8FC10200942E"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In general</header><text>Effective on and after the date of the enactment of the National Law Enforcement Memorial Maintenance Fund Act of 2005, the following applies, notwithstanding other provisions of this Act:</text> 
<subparagraph id="H275D784EA2124DD0A4DE15CF1CDE2D82"><enum>(A)</enum><text>The Secretary of the Interior, acting through the National Park Service, shall enter into a cooperative agreement with the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, Inc., a nonprofit corporation incorporated under the laws of the District of Columbia, to carry out the purposes of the Fund as described in subsection (b). </text></subparagraph> 
<subparagraph id="H282505C752834C719EF973E9BA11702C"><enum>(B)</enum><text>In accordance with the terms of such agreement, the Secretary shall transfer all amounts in the Fund to the Corporation. </text></subparagraph></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H82991FD0C5A54C50A1FFE7AAAD13C285"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Definitions</header><text>For purposes of this subsection—</text> 
<subparagraph id="H90782A37C6384DDAA4768BD2FB9646F"><enum>(A)</enum><text>the term <quote>Corporation</quote> means the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund, Inc; and</text></subparagraph> 
<subparagraph id="HCB95135A82A74E37BFD3844D4C5694A7"><enum>(B)</enum><text>the term <quote>Secretary</quote> means the Secretary of the Interior.</text></subparagraph></paragraph></subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></subsection> 
<subsection id="H9CBABD7AD80A42AFB219C0766442D1D"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Purposes of fund</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 201(b) of <external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/104/329">Public Law 104–329</external-xref> is amended—</text> 
<paragraph id="HB339B94E54DB498F9CCFCADEAD3B8011"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in paragraph (3), by inserting <quote>and</quote> after the semicolon; </text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H1C3FA7E11DE44A50A04CD8129398D565"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by striking paragraphs (4), (6), and (7), and redesignating paragraph (5) as paragraph (4); and </text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H6C6666228DD3459EA97B0072ED31EAD3"><enum>(3)</enum><text>in paragraph (4) (as so redesignated), by striking the semicolon and inserting a period. </text></paragraph></subsection></section>
