<section section-type="section-one" id="H2007580AFD7B4F9B9B64814454B2B62" display-inline="no-display-inline"><enum>1.</enum><header>Definitions</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">In this Act:</text>
<paragraph id="H384A4FC3EF3C49B59DAB2442D700D45D"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Commission</header><text>The term <term>Commission</term> means the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.</text></paragraph>
<paragraph id="H827448551DB94871B3356934BF001CD9"><enum>(2)</enum><header>TAPS quality bank valuation methodologies</header><text>The term <term>TAPS quality bank valuation methodologies</term> means valuation methodologies applied for the purpose of establishing monetary adjustments paid by or to shippers of oil on the Trans-Alaska Pipeline (as authorized by the Trans-Alaska Pipeline Authorization Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/43/1651">43 U.S.C. 1651 et seq.</external-xref>) through the operation of a quality bank to compensate for differentials in the value of shippers’ oil commingled in the pipeline.</text></paragraph></section>
<section id="H3533B69B2CA148EEB3000576035EDFC2"><enum>2.</enum><header>Federal Energy Regulatory Commission review of Trans-Alaska Pipeline carrier tariffs</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Pursuant to the ratemaking authority of the Commission under <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/49/60501">section 60501</external-xref> of title 49, United States Code, in carrying out a review of Trans-Alaska Pipeline carrier tariffs, the Commission shall not approve any retroactive application of TAPS quality bank valuation methodologies.</text></section>
<section id="H3AC84BB554204B00A6E76D9DCDBC5800"><enum>3.</enum><header>Effective date</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act applies to orders of the Commission issued after December 31, 2005.</text></section>
