<section id="H8A5548893E9C42F59126A653A6B171A3" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Settlement of employer claims for the work opportunity credit</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Not later than July 1, 2005, the Secretary of the Treasury shall issue regulations to provide for the settlement of employer claims for the work opportunity credit under <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/26/51">section 51(d)(2)(A)</external-xref> of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 which previously were not granted but should have been granted consistent with Revenue Ruling 2003–112. Such settlement shall be national in scope, provide for a fair and equitable resolution of such claims, and rely on statistical sampling on a national level.</text></section>
