<subsection id="H6D2EFDAC5FC14D59A6F2F08D246D6BC0"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Army</header> 
<paragraph id="HFE0D2983440A41B2A72CB1AEC98EFE50"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In general</header><text><external-xref legal-doc="usc-chapter" parsable-cite="usc-chapter/10/357">Chapter 357</external-xref> of title 10, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following new section:</text>

<section id="H10ABE637AA5A4D25A284C203C4C121A5"><enum>3757.</enum><header>Combat Medevac Badge</header> 
<subsection id="HECDFDB6A457144E1B2EE18B388FC098C"><enum>(a)</enum><text>The Secretary of the Army shall issue a badge of appropriate design, to be known as the Combat Medevac Badge, to each person who while a member of the Army served in combat on or after June 25, 1950, as a pilot or crew member of a helicopter medical evacuation ambulance and who meets the requirements for the award of that badge.</text></subsection> 
<subsection id="HECF58CAC3F2242C2A4F0D1F422B64C65"><enum>(b)</enum><text>The Secretary of the Army shall prescribe requirements for eligibility for the Combat Medevac Badge.</text></subsection></section><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph>

<subsection id="H759D5B7354024B5E9FD4430073964801"><enum>(a)</enum><text>The Secretary of the Navy shall issue a badge of appropriate design, to be known as the Combat Medevac Badge, to each person who while a member of the Navy or Marine Corps served in combat on or after June 25, 1950, as a pilot or crew member of a helicopter medical evacuation ambulance and who meets the requirements for the award of that badge.</text></subsection>

<subsection id="H4F7575D640364CFBB6C2C806AEFB073C"><enum>(a)</enum><text>The Secretary of the Air Force shall issue a badge of appropriate design, to be known as the Combat Medevac Badge, to each person who while a member of the Air Force served in combat on or after June 25, 1950, as a pilot or crew member of a helicopter medical evacuation ambulance and who meets the requirements for the award of that badge.</text></subsection> 
<subsection id="H2D76413D5ECA4BCD9955B131E4C45833"><enum>(b)</enum><text>The Secretary of the Air Force shall prescribe requirements for eligibility for the Combat Medevac Badge.</text></subsection></section><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph>

<subsection id="HCD118968BCD0451490E02B0DA636984"><enum>(d)</enum><header>Award for service before date of enactment</header><text>In the case of persons who, while a member of the Armed Forces, served in combat as a pilot or crew member of a helicopter medical evacuation ambulance during the period beginning on June 25, 1950, and ending on the date of enactment of this Act, the Secretary of the military department concerned shall issue the Combat Medevac Badge—</text> 
<paragraph id="HD555CE595528416F9536AEE0A9FAA2BE"><enum>(1)</enum><text>to each such person who is known to the Secretary before the date of enactment of this Act; and</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H5CB0D662BE6D429AB2533056142B2C17"><enum>(2)</enum><text>to each such person with respect to whom an application for the issuance of the badge is made to the Secretary after such date in such manner, and within such time period, as the Secretary may require.</text></paragraph></subsection></section>
