<official-title>To amend the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act of 1959 to inform union members of their rights.</official-title>

<section section-type="section-one" id="H18F3006D00CD4161A54E31461CB50050" display-inline="no-display-inline"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Union Members Right-to-Know Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section> 
<section id="H16E5530BA7694DF499E5969C061421A1"><enum>2.</enum><header>Information</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 105 of the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act of 1959 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/29/415">29 U.S.C. 415</external-xref>) is amended by adding at the end the following:</text> 
<quoted-block display-inline="yes-display-inline" id="H4273485EEE51478AB16680895253F233"><text>A labor organization shall provide such information—</text> 
<paragraph id="H1403D1C3952049D1BDF0DCAB923C1119"><enum>(1)</enum><text>to each new member within 90 days after the member has joined the labor organization; and</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H30EA8AE15190441284626CD830BB197"><enum>(2)</enum><text>periodically to all members in a manner which the Secretary of Labor determines will promote a fuller understanding of the member’s rights and judicial remedies under this Act.</text></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></section> 
<section id="HB573E2A87F52418A89AB67A12C6CDD88"><enum>3.</enum><header>Regulations</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Not later than 6 months after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary of Labor shall review and revise all regulations promulgated before such date to implement the amendments made in this Act to the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act of 1959.</text></section> 
<section id="H4EA619614AA5421DB9DCA2E2106E19ED"><enum>4.</enum><header>Effective date</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">The amendments made by this Act shall take effect 180 days after the date of the enactment of this Act.</text></section>
