<section id="HFA84B37A5B9E4D269D11E389E05F447D" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short Title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Military Stalking Prevention Act of 2005</short-title></quote>. </text></section> 
<section id="HD4E1CBEE03AB4D75881BE549F541CFE2" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2. </enum><header>Stalking</header> 
<subsection id="H760647C6121641A8B7A27C0863D5F34F"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In General</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Subchapter X of <external-xref legal-doc="usc-chapter" parsable-cite="usc-chapter/10/47">chapter 47</external-xref> of title 10, United States Code (the Uniform Code of Military Justice), is amended by inserting after section 917 (article 117) the following new section:</text>

<section id="HB0AFC9B0070F4E518DC5FD63D1008019"><enum>917a.</enum><header>117a. Stalking</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Any person subject to this chapter who wrongfully and knowingly engages in a course of conduct, or a course of unwanted communication, that would cause emotional distress to a reasonable person or would place a reasonable person in fear of injury to the person, property, or reputation of that person or any other person, is guilty of stalking and shall be punished as a court-martial may direct.</text></section><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block> </subsection> 
<subsection id="HD16161E852C64AC6B970721237421CB"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Clerical Amendment</header><text>The table of sections at the beginning of such subchapter is amended by inserting after the item relating to section 917 (article 117) the following new item:</text>
