<section id="HFBF832C67E514446AAEFD4AB79F4CD25" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Montana National Forests Boundary Adjustment Act of 2004</short-title></quote>.</text></section> 
<section id="H3C36C33C3D5045C99CA70625B2C7C4C3"><enum>2.</enum><header>Definitions</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">In this Act:</text> 
<paragraph id="HE29AEAD185F04841952E4C9CA4D9008C"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Forest</header><text>The term <quote>Forest</quote> means the Helena National Forest, Lolo National Forest, and Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest in the State of Montana.</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="HBEEA3AE3895A4C5E97AE3C6DE02F4762"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Map</header><text>The term <quote>map</quote> means—</text> 
<subparagraph id="H162B0C290DC04297BFDE73EC463BB12"><enum>(A)</enum><text>the map entitled <quote>Blackfoot Community Project Acquisition Proposed Adjustments, Helena National Forest Boundary</quote> and dated March 11, 2004;</text></subparagraph> 
<subparagraph id="H6C7535A6E8AE45CAAD88861359268949"><enum>(B)</enum><text>the map entitled <quote>Blackfoot Community Project Acquisition Region One, Lolo National Forest Boundary</quote> and dated March 11, 2004; and</text></subparagraph> 
<subparagraph id="H4A5E77C70B7A40989B00E280FDAC400"><enum>(C)</enum><text>the map entitled <quote>Blackfoot Community Project Acquisition Proposed Adjustments, Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest Boundary Adjustment</quote> and dated March 11, 2004.</text></subparagraph></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="HA2BAECBE177445D79D8BD9EF7C399E79"><enum>(3)</enum><header>Secretary</header><text>The term <quote>Secretary</quote> means the Secretary of Agriculture.</text></paragraph></section> 
<section id="H7FAE7C9532204A9B9074266EC559ED47"><enum>3.</enum><header>Helena, lolo, and beaverhead-deerlodge national forests boundary adjustment</header> 
<subsection id="H6CB43E889ADD465D81FCBCA716D1C54"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text>The boundaries of the Forests are modified as depicted on the maps.</text></subsection> 
<subsection id="H0733A565B593499E9C568D37B191E3E4"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Maps</header> 
<paragraph id="H8811C5179E7245118255A7E29E000247"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Availability</header><text>The maps shall be on file and available for public inspection in—</text> 
<subparagraph id="H29AD143285834ACAB406EA78C4ABD117"><enum>(A)</enum><text>the Office of the Chief of the Forest Service; and</text></subparagraph> 
<subparagraph id="H0A98CF59E13C4787816020CEF32CCD92"><enum>(B)</enum><text>the office of the Regional Forester, Missoula, Montana.</text></subparagraph></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H805385FBE14647C794D9A48C5C95267C"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Correction authority</header><text>The Secretary may make technical corrections to the maps.</text></paragraph></subsection> 
<subsection id="HF5D258D22DBE4154BCAD92764700B17D"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Administration</header><text>Any land or interest in land acquired within the boundaries of the Forests for National Forest System purposes shall be managed in accordance with—</text> 
<paragraph id="HB8D3E1199FD746FC8990437BC618A771"><enum>(1)</enum><text>the Act of March 1, 1911 (commonly known as the <quote>Weeks Law</quote>) (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/16/480">16 U.S.C. 480 et seq.</external-xref>); and</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H530368D30EC24EE68CC7FF4DDE472042"><enum>(2)</enum><text>the laws (including regulations) applicable to the National Forest System.</text></paragraph></subsection> 
<subsection id="H3E1EAF36E5FC44F1929C8D64F990FE2E"><enum>(d)</enum><header>Land and water conservation fund</header><text>For purposes of section 7 of the Land and Water Conservation Fund Act of 1965 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/16/4601-9">16 U.S.C. 4601-9</external-xref>), the boundaries of the Forests, as adjusted under subsection (a), shall be considered to be the boundaries of the Forests as of January 1, 1965.</text></subsection> 
<subsection id="H7695D957CE7E428D91373659D4857FD3"><enum>(e)</enum><header>Effect</header><text>Nothing in this Act limits the authority of the Secretary to adjust the boundaries of the Forests under section 11 of the Act of March 1, 1911 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/16/521">16 U.S.C. 521</external-xref>).</text></subsection></section>
