<section id="HA63564C2327449A39B611C10E2D700D7" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Toys containing mercury as banned hazardous products</header>
<subsection id="HE76140201A6C4EFE00CEE024D587DC7F"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Product banned</header><text>Not later than 6 months after the date of enactment of this Act, the Consumer Product Safety Commission shall, pursuant to section 8 of the Consumer Product Safety Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/15/2057">15 U.S.C. 2057</external-xref>), promulgate a rule under section 9 of such Act, declaring mercury-containing toys to be banned hazardous products under such Act.</text></subsection>
<subsection id="H8AD28ECBC9E44669B6B7401CD1F7B0B9"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Definition of mercury-containing toys</header><text>As used in this Act, the term <quote>mercury-containing toy</quote> means any toy or other product that contains mercury and is designed primarily for, or marketed primarily to children.</text> </subsection></section>
