<official-title>To amend subchapter IV of <external-xref legal-doc="usc-chapter" parsable-cite="usc-chapter/5/53">chapter 53</external-xref> of title 5, United States Code, to provide for wage parity for prevailing rate employees in Guam.</official-title>

<section id="H74DB91632BAA44B0BEE511FCC2010C9" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Parity of wage schedules and rates for prevailing rate employees in Guam with wage schedules and rates for prevailing rate employees in Hawaii</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline"><external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/5/5343">Section 5343(a)</external-xref> of title 5, United States Code, is amended—</text> 
<paragraph id="HADFEFA6E1436484CABEA7EF6C97EC3C7"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in paragraph (3), by striking <quote>subject to paragraph (5)</quote> and inserting <quote>subject to paragraphs (5) and (6)</quote>;</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H54EB021F141249BEBDF723D11D1051ED"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in paragraph (4), by striking <quote>; and</quote> and inserting a semicolon;</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="HF856F8EA46AF48C3ABE1593F47F95313"><enum>(3)</enum><text>in paragraph (5), by striking the period and inserting <quote>; and</quote>; and</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H05A1412993204AA4AEA2CD9F7FAE578F"><enum>(4)</enum><text>by adding at the end the following:</text>

<paragraph id="H195AA2BD8B234E05B944E5C34A1F764"><enum>(6)</enum><text>the Office of Personnel Management shall establish wage schedules and rates for prevailing rate employees who are United States citizens employed in Guam that are the same as the wage schedules and rates for prevailing rate employees in Hawaii.</text></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph></section> 
<section id="HB3D93A4F203946F086136900E8C9EF50"><enum>2.</enum><header>Effective date</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act shall be effective with respect to pay periods commencing in any fiscal year that commences at least 6 months after the date of the enactment of this Act.</text></section>
