<official-title>To amend the Higher Education Act of 1965 to require institutions of higher education to widely distribute information describing their procedures for receiving and responding to complaints concerning harassment.</official-title>

<section id="H9FE3C3DDFF094B3E87DEE6A99714E4F2" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>&short-title1;</short-title></quote>.</text> </section> 
<section id="H1CD10585EE714E5B9D82D7B0091248BD"><enum>2.</enum><header>Harassment procedure disclosures required</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 485 of the <act-name parsable-cite="HEA65">Higher Education Act of 1965</act-name> (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/20/1092">20 U.S.C. 1092</external-xref>) is amended by adding at the end the following new subsection:</text>

<subsection id="H358B2FD589944A3DA2501988C200594E"><enum>(h)</enum><header>Harassment procedure disclosures required</header><text>Each eligible institution participating in any program under this title shall carry out appropriate and reasonable information dissemination activities for prospective and enrolled students (including those attending or planning to attend less than full time) regarding the procedures established by such institution for receiving and responding to complaints regarding sexual harassment. Such dissemination activities shall include—</text> 
<paragraph id="HD04D4D8E7C094149A34D68E2621414EF"><enum>(1)</enum><text>distribution to enrolled students (along with the distribution of information concerning enrollment in the institution) of information—</text> 
<subparagraph id="HB978D30B9BF04E7180A1899785626300"><enum>(A)</enum><text>identifying the acts that constitute sexual harassment;</text></subparagraph> 
<subparagraph id="H8885C4E4962F4B3AB5D07FF1796E3BFC"><enum>(B)</enum><text>stating that sexual harassment is illegal; and</text></subparagraph> 
<subparagraph id="HAADEF3A41BA0419800D86987A900FF83"><enum>(C)</enum><text>describing the procedures to be followed to file a sexual harassment complaint and to receive services and assistance for the victim; and</text></subparagraph></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H82D3992994B74966B1BE6F21BB71293B"><enum>(2)</enum><text>posting of the information described in paragraph (1) through bulletins widely distributed among the buildings, classrooms, student unions, and other facilities on the campus of such institution.</text></paragraph></subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></section>
