<official-title>To amend title 18, United States Code, and other laws to protect children from criminal recidivists, and for other purposes.</official-title>

<section id="HF5D537F3D3E648E09B005F2D37C89677" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as <quote>&short-title1;</quote> <short-title></short-title>.</text></section> 
<section id="H301DCA3A297344F60030011054DA6293"><enum>2.</enum><header>Revocation of probation or supervised release</header> 
<subsection id="HDF77016D7D744B7E00C1AE400087A7"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Probation</header><text><external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/18/3565">Section 3565(b)</external-xref> of title 18, United States Code, is amended—</text> 
<paragraph id="HD90F582D454B4B489714D0FCE3773F89"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by striking <quote>or</quote> at the end of paragraph (3); and</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="HE94CEFC5053342DAA704B327DC2E6CE8"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by inserting after paragraph (4) the following:</text> 
<quoted-block style="USC" id="H717EDF7D6361407BA6F442BB05D5664B" display-inline="no-display-inline"> 
<paragraph id="H5DD57F88D4314DE1A1DE246E15553C3E"><enum>(5)</enum><text>commits a felony crime of violence; or</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H593F61A95CAD4C20AB754FE5BF3FAC6D"><enum>(6)</enum><text>commits a crime of violence against, or an offense that consists of or is intended to facilitate unlawful sexual contact (as defined in section 2246) with, a person who has not attained the age of 16 years;</text></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph></subsection> 
<subsection id="HF19C611094134902AD14C03C4D44BBC6"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Supervised release</header><text><external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/18/3583">Section 3583(g)</external-xref> of title 18, United States Code, is amended—</text> 
<paragraph id="HAB66C684DCB5476C8D889FE5B9F0E77C"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by striking <quote>or</quote> at the end of paragraph (3); and</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="HEC92E6DA05614173895137888FB64D1D"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by inserting after paragraph (4) the following:</text> 
<quoted-block style="USC" id="HEC2A5F8DC6B34845887D1445173C7173" display-inline="no-display-inline"> 
<paragraph id="H127B656B59B342889DF83F271821E095"><enum>(5)</enum><text>commits a felony crime of violence; or</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H1C382B598DFA4110B0CAF1BE3BAC724"><enum>(6)</enum><text>commits a crime of violence against, or an offense that consists of or is intended to facilitate unlawful sexual contact (as defined in section 2246) with, a person who has not attained the age of 16 years;</text></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph></subsection></section> 
<section id="HACC51CB6A55340E0BAE56082C817FCCF" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>3.</enum><header>Amber alert grant program</header> 
<subsection id="H8AF29981308940D1B5D618D1924B8DD8"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Eligibility requirements</header><text>Section 303(c) of the PROTECT Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/5791b">42 U.S.C. 5791b(c)</external-xref>) is amended by adding at the end the following: </text> 
<quoted-block style="OLC" id="H2CE401DBE6F84C7D97B7C4FD4FC4613F" display-inline="no-display-inline"> 
<paragraph id="H95A260FF7AF24427BE976ED31D125907"><enum>(3)</enum><header>Additional eligibility requirement</header><text>To be eligible for a grant under this section in a fiscal year, a State shall certify in writing to the Secretary that, in the fiscal year, the State, with respect to a minor residing in the State, will make a good faith effort to notify any non-custodial parent of the minor if—</text> 
<subparagraph id="HEA941EFC4DFC489C8BCB00CD15AE0002"><enum>(A)</enum><text> the minor is the victim of a crime of violence or sexual abuse; or </text></subparagraph> 
<subparagraph id="HC6D0B948F08440BBB67D7514F222E882"><enum>(B)</enum><text> the custodial parent of the minor is charged with a drug offense, rape, or crime of violence or sexual abuse.</text></subparagraph></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></subsection> 
<subsection id="H0928D1476DDA4FC79255E7CA1CF8EC63"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Authorization of appropriations</header><text>Section 303(h) of such Act (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/42/5791b">42 U.S.C. 5791b(h)</external-xref>) is amended by striking <quote>fiscal year 2004</quote> and inserting <quote>each of fiscal years 2004 and 2005</quote>. </text> </subsection></section>
