<section id="H92879EE4BB794448A5C2E8462816C81" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>&short-title1;</short-title></quote>.</text></section> 
<section id="H81B3C406456F4A0D9700385BFB114521"><enum>2.</enum><header>Expanded chiropractor services available to veterans</header> 
<subsection id="HC995AEA2E884430D8C2CECBAAAE1B3"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Medical services</header><text>Paragraph (6) of <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/38/1701">section 1701</external-xref> of title 38, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following new subparagraph:</text>

<subparagraph id="HF983776EE3104C19A3B500B1FF6F746C" indent="up1"><enum>(G)</enum><text>Chiropractic services.</text></subparagraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block> </subsection> 
<subsection id="H29122499E1D94C98B2B22F5636233598"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Rehabilitative services</header><text>Paragraph (8) of such section is amended by inserting <quote>chiropractic,</quote> after <quote>counseling,</quote>.</text></subsection> 
<subsection id="HA771097232E04914889B384607AEA945"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Preventive health services</header><text>Paragraph (9) of such section is amended—</text> 
<paragraph id="HE441630796ED4B99BC52C63206900988"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by redesignating subparagraphs (F) through (K) as subparagraphs (G) through (L), respectively; and</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H9A06C56650A1427F92876FE8ABF9B6E4"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by inserting after subparagraph (E) the following new subparagraph (F):</text>

<section id="H3BC62120FAEB44518CC31490003EEEF2" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>3.</enum><header>Direct access for veterans to chiropractic services</header> 
<subsection id="HB4D5A989E8CD476DB8C1B2ED8D007271"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header> <text><external-xref legal-doc="usc-chapter" parsable-cite="usc-chapter/38/17">Chapter 17</external-xref> of title 38, is amended by inserting after <external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/38/1710B">section 1710B</external-xref> the following new section:</text>

<section id="HE8861A1EF1D84B5CACA66706C53FCAA"><enum>1710C.</enum><header>Direct access to chiropractic services</header> 
<subsection id="HAB37185871944F81A0226FA9C27336E5"><enum>(a)</enum><text>The Secretary shall permit eligible veterans to receive needed medical services, rehabilitative services, and preventative health services from a licensed doctor of chiropractic on a direct access basis at the election of the eligible veteran, if such services are within the State scope of practice of such doctor of chiropractic.</text></subsection> 
<subsection id="H542D0202C8EF4990AD37B12C2DAD0708"><enum>(b)</enum><text>The Secretary shall not discriminate among licensed health-care providers in the determination of needed services.</text></subsection></section><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block> </subsection> 
<subsection id="HD4AB9D62D77A47C10036960375ABD46E" indent="up1"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Clerical amendment</header><text>The table of sections at the beginning of such chapter is amended by inserting after the item relating to section 1710B the following new item:</text>
