<official-title>To amend title 10, United States Code, to provide for immediate implementation of full concurrent receipt for retired members of the Armed Forces who have a service-connected disability of both military retired pay paid by reason of their years of military service and disability compensation from the Department of Veterans Affairs paid by reason of their disability.</official-title>

<section id="HDED955B6A06044458C153D52E4877785" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>&short-title1;</short-title></quote>.</text></section> 
<section id="H8E9118AC7D6E4502AFB587081E40CD59"><enum>2.</enum><header>IMMEDIATE IMPLEMENTATION OF FULL CONCURRENT RECEIPT</header> 
<subsection id="H481EBEBDB3EC48BCA7B1CBFD333D6F7B"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Revisions to fiscal year 2004 amendments</header><text><external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/10/1414">Section 1414</external-xref> of title 10, United States Code, as amended by section 641(a) of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2004 (<external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/108/136">Public Law 108–136</external-xref>; 117 Stat. 1511), is amended—</text> 
<paragraph id="H4A8F123D145943269E76072D3FFC01B0"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in subsection (a)—</text> 
<subparagraph id="HC205AFA319A64D7EAF562700E326DD4"><enum>(A)</enum><text>in paragraph (1), by striking the second sentence; and</text></subparagraph> 
<subparagraph id="HDE6478947F25417795D9A4700932FF2"><enum>(B)</enum><text>in paragraph (2), by striking <quote>50 percent</quote> and inserting <quote>10 percent</quote>;</text></subparagraph></paragraph>

<subsection id="HE396EE3AA817492D9C4437975475F9D9"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Clerical amendments</header> 
<paragraph id="HC99A1878A23347F7809CC1C68F6772E2" display-inline="yes-display-inline"><enum>(1)</enum><text>The heading for such section is amended by striking <quote>for disabilities rated 50 percent or higher</quote>.</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H0C21CD03A43A4D01BF916E632750621F" indent="up1"><enum>(2)</enum><text>The table of sections at the beginning of chapter 71 of such title is amended by striking <quote>for disabilities rated 50 percent or higher</quote>.</text></paragraph></subsection> 
<subsection id="H1C2C0D4B70244656B7F21FDACC43989C"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Effective date</header><text>The amendments made by subsection (a) shall take effect on the first day of the first month beginning on or after the date of the enactment of this Act and shall apply with respect to payments for months beginning on or after that day.</text> </subsection></section>
