                               RESOLUTION


 
 Notifying the House of Representatives of the election of a President 
                       pro tempore of the Senate.

    Resolved, That the House of Representatives be notified of the 
election of Robert C. Byrd, a Senator from the State of West Virginia, 
as President pro tempore.
