A BILL
To amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to exempt feed truck chassis
from excise tax on heavy trucks and trailers.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. EXEMPTION FOR FEED TRUCK CHASSIS FROM EXCISE TAX ON HEAVY
TRUCKS AND TRAILERS.
(a) In General.--Section 4053(2) of the Internal Revenue Code of
1986 (relating to feed, seed, and fertilizer equipment) is amended by
striking subparagraph (E) and inserting the following:
``(E) for any combination of the foregoing, and
any automobile truck chassis (so primarily designed) to which
such body is mounted or permanently affixed.''.
(b) Effective Date.--The amendment made by this section shall apply
to sales occurring after the date of the enactment of this Act.
