To amend of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2002 
 to repeal the authority of the President to commence a 2005 round for 
  the selection of military installations for closure or realignment 
      under the Defense Base Closure and Realignment Act of 1990.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. REPEAL OF AUTHORIZATION OF ADDITIONAL ROUND OF BASE 
              REALIGNMENTS AND CLOSURES IN 2005.

    Effective as of December 28, 2001, the National Defense 
Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2002 (Public Law 107-107) is amended 
by striking title XXX (115 Stat. 1342), and the amendments made by that 
title, relating to the realignment and closure of military 
installations.
                                 <all>
