A BILL
To amend the Food Security Act of 1985 to increase the maximum amount
of marketing loan gains and loan deficiency payments that an
agricultural producer may receive during each of crop years 2001 and
2002.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. INCREASE IN AUTHORIZED AMOUNT OF MARKETING LOAN GAINS AND
LOAN DEFICIENCY PAYMENTS.
Section 1001(2) of the Food Security Act of 1985 (7 U.S.C. 1308(2))
is amended by adding at the end the following new sentence: ``However,
during each of crop years 2001 and 2002, the total amount of such
payments may not exceed $150,000 per person.''.
