A BILL
To amend the vaccine injury compensation portion of the Public Health
Service Act to permit a petition for compensation to be submitted
within 48 months of the first symptoms of injury.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. TIME LIMIT.
Section 2116(a)(2) of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C.
300aa-16) is amended by striking ``36 months'' and inserting ``48
months''.
