bill; which was referred to the Committee on the Judiciary

A BILL
To amend title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 to make such title
fully applicable to the judicial branch of the Federal Government.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. SHORT TITLE.
This Act may be cited as the ``Judicial Branch Employment
Nondiscrimination Act of 2001''.
SEC. 2. AMENDMENT.
Section 717(a) of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (42 U.S.C. 2000e-
16(a)) is amended by striking ``those units of the judicial branch
having positions in the competitive service'' and inserting ``the
judicial branch''.
