A BILL
To amend the Surface Mining Control and Reclamation Act of 1977 to
assure that the full amount deposited in the Abandoned Mine Reclamation
Fund is spent for the purposes for which that Fund was established.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. EXPENDITURE OF FUNDS FROM ABANDONED MINE RECLAMATION FUND.
Section 401(d) of the Surface Mining Control and Reclamation Act of
1977 (30 U.S.C. 1231(d)) is amended to read as follows:
``(d) Moneys in the fund shall be available for the purposes of
this title without further appropriation and without fiscal year
limitation.''.
