                                 AN ACT


 
    To declare it to be the policy of the United States to deploy a 
                       national missile defense.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled, That it is the policy 
of the United States to deploy a national missile defense.

            Passed the House of Representatives March 18, 1999.
