Res. 2 Enrolled Bill (ENR)] S.J.Res. 2 One Hundred Third Congress of the United States of America AT THE FIRST SESSION Begun and held at the City of Washington on Tuesday, the fifth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and ninety-three Joint Resolution To authorize the United States Secret Service to continue to furnish protection to the former Vice President or his spouse. Resolved by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled, That-- (1) the United States Secret Service, in addition to other duties now provided by law, is authorized to furnish protection to-- (A) the person occupying the Office of Vice President of the United States immediately preceding January 20, 1993, or (B) his spouse, if the President determines that such person may thereafter be in significant danger; and (2) protection of any such person, pursuant to the authority provided in paragraph (1), shall continue only for such period as the President determines, except that such protection shall not continue beyond July 20, 1993, unless otherwise permitted by law.
