A BILL
To amend the National Trails System Act to designate the Old Spanish
Trail and the Northern Branch of the Old Spanish Trail for potential
inclusion into the National Trails System, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the
United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. DESIGNATION.
Section 5(c) of the National Trails System Act (16 U.S.C. 1244(c))
is amended by adding at the end the following new paragraph:
``(36) The Old Spanish Trail, beginning in Santa Fe, New
Mexico, proceeding through Colorado and Utah, and ending in Los
Angeles, California, and the Northern Branch of the Old Spanish
Trail, beginning near Espanola, New Mexico, proceeding through
Colorado, and ending near Crescent Junction, Utah.''
