   documentation with appropriate endorsement for employment in the 
                 coastwise trade for each of 3 barges.

   Mr. Reed introduced the following bill; which was referred to the 
               Committee on Merchant Marine and Fisheries

                                 A BILL


 
To authorize the Secretary of Transportation to issue a certificate of 
   documentation with appropriate endorsement for employment in the 
                 coastwise trade for each of 3 barges.

    Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the 
United States of America in Congress assembled, That notwithstanding 
section 27 of the Merchant Marine Act, 1920 (46 App. U.S.C. 883) and 
section 12106 of title 46, United States Code, the Secretary of 
Transportation may issue a certificate of documentation with 
appropriate endorsement for employment in the coastwise trade for each 
of the following barges (owned by the Harbor Marine Corporation of 
Rhode Island, incorporated under the laws of the State of Rhode Island 
and located principally in Warren, Rhode Island):
            (1) HARBOR 223 (approximately 110 feet in length).
            (2) GENE ELIZABETH (approximately 200 feet in length).
            (3) HARBOR 221 (approximately 90 feet in length).
