<section id="d11354e88" identifier="/us/pl/118/32/s1" style="-uslm-lc:I658146"><num class="bold" value="1">SECTION 1. </num><sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="xc9208010-e80b-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658180"><ref href="/us/usc/t25/s713">25 USC 713 note</ref>.</p></sidenote><heading>SHORT TITLE.</heading><content style="-uslm-lc:I658120">  This Act may be cited as the “<shortTitle role="act">Grand Ronde Reservation Act Amendment of 2023</shortTitle>”.</content></section>
<section id="d11354e103" identifier="/us/pl/118/32/s2" role="instruction" style="-uslm-lc:I658141"><num class="fontsize12" value="2">SEC. 2. </num><heading>GRAND RONDE RESERVATION ACT AMENDMENT.</heading><chapeau class="indentUp0 firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="xc920a721-e80b-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658120">  <ref href="/us/pl/100/425/s1/d">Section 1(d) of Public Law 100–425</ref> (commonly known as the “Grand Ronde Reservation Act”;<sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="xc920a722-e80b-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658180"><ref href="/us/usc/t25/s713f">25 USC 713f note</ref>.</p></sidenote> <ref href="/us/stat/102/1594">102 Stat. 1594</ref>; <ref href="/us/stat/108/4566">108 Stat. 4566</ref>) <amendingAction type="amend">is amended</amendingAction>—</chapeau><paragraph class="fontsize10" id="yc920a723-e80b-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/118/32/s2/1" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="1">(1) </num><content>in paragraph (1), by <amendingAction type="delete">striking</amendingAction> “<quotedText>lands within the State of Oregon</quotedText>” and <amendingAction type="insert">inserting</amendingAction> “<quotedText>the 84 acres known as the Thompson Strip</quotedText>”;</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="yc920a724-e80b-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/118/32/s2/2" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="2">(2) </num><content>by <amendingAction type="redesignate">redesignating</amendingAction> paragraph (2) as paragraph (3); and</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="yc920a725-e80b-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/118/32/s2/3" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="3">(3) </num><content>by <amendingAction type="insert">inserting</amendingAction> after paragraph (1) the following:<quotedContent><paragraph class="indentUp0 fontsize10" id="yc920ce36-e80b-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="2">“(2) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">Gaming prohibition</inline>.—</heading><content>Any real property obtained by the Tribes as part of a land claim settlement approved by the United States, including any real property purchased with funds granted as part of any land claim settlement, shall not be eligible, or used, for any class II gaming or class III gaming under the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act (<ref href="/us/usc/t25/s2701/etseq">25 U.S.C. 2701 et seq.</ref>) (as those terms are defined in section 4 of that Act (<ref href="/us/usc/t25/s2703">25 U.S.C. 2703</ref>)).”</content></paragraph>

<section id="d11354e176" identifier="/us/pl/118/32/s3" style="-uslm-lc:I658141"><num class="fontsize12" value="3">SEC. 3. </num><sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="xc920ce37-e80b-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658180"><ref href="/us/usc/t25/s713f">25 USC 713f note</ref>.</p></sidenote><heading>TREATY RIGHTS OF FEDERALLY RECOGNIZED TRIBES.</heading><content style="-uslm-lc:I658120">   Nothing in this Act, or an amendment made by this Act, shall be construed to enlarge, confirm, adjudicate, affect, or modify any treaty right of an Indian Tribe (as defined in section 4 of the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act (<ref href="/us/usc/t25/s5304">25 U.S.C. 5304</ref>)).</content></section>
