<section id="d44821e93" identifier="/us/pl/117/5/s1" style="-uslm-lc:I658146"><num class="bold" value="1">SECTION 1. </num><heading>SHORT TITLE.<?q01?></heading><content style="-uslm-lc:I658120">  This Act may be cited as the “<shortTitle role="act">COVID–19 Bankruptcy Relief Extension Act of 2021</shortTitle>”.<?q01?></content></section>
<section id="d44821e106" identifier="/us/pl/117/5/s2" style="-uslm-lc:I658141"><num class="fontsize12" value="2">SEC. 2. </num><heading>EXTENSIONS.<?q01?></heading><subsection class="firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="y97df6dab-e813-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/117/5/s2/a" role="instruction" style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="a">(a) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">In General</inline>.—</heading><chapeau>Section 1113 of the CARES Act (<ref href="/us/pl/116/136">Public Law 116–136</ref>) <amendingAction type="amend">is amended</amendingAction>—</chapeau><paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y97df6dac-e813-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/117/5/s2/a/1" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="1">(1) </num><content>in subsection (a)(5) (<ref href="/us/usc/t11/s1182">11 U.S.C. 1182 note</ref>), by <amendingAction type="delete">striking</amendingAction> “<quotedText>1 year</quotedText>” and <amendingAction type="insert">inserting</amendingAction> “<quotedText>2 years</quotedText>”; and</content></paragraph>

<subsection class="firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="y97df6dae-e813-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/117/5/s2/b" style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="b">(b) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">Modification of Plan After Confirmation</inline>.—</heading><paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y97df6daf-e813-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/117/5/s2/b/1" role="instruction" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="1">(1) </num><content><ref href="/us/usc/t11/s1329/d/1">Section 1329(d)(1) of title 11, United States Code</ref>, <amendingAction type="amend">is amended</amendingAction>, in the matter preceding subparagraph (A), by <amendingAction type="delete">striking</amendingAction> “<quotedText>this subsection</quotedText>” and <amendingAction type="insert">inserting</amendingAction> “<quotedText>the COVID–19 Bankruptcy Relief Extension Act of 2021</quotedText>”.</content></paragraph>

<section id="d44821e203" identifier="/us/pl/117/5/s3" style="-uslm-lc:I658141"><num class="fontsize12" value="3">SEC. 3. </num><heading>DETERMINATION OF BUDGETARY EFFECTS.<?q01?></heading><content style="-uslm-lc:I658120">  The budgetary effects of this Act, for the purpose of complying with the Statutory Pay-As-You-Go Act of 2010, shall be determined by reference to the latest statement titled “Budgetary Effects of PAYGO Legislation” for this Act, submitted for printing in the Congressional Record by the Chairman of the House Budget Committee, provided that such statement has been submitted prior to the vote on passage.</content></section>
