<section id="d80489e92" identifier="/us/pl/117/148/s1" style="-uslm-lc:I658146"><num class="bold" value="1">SECTION 1. </num><heading>SHORT TITLE.</heading><content style="-uslm-lc:I658120">  This Act may be cited as the “<shortTitle role="act">Supreme Court Police Parity Act of 2022</shortTitle>”.</content></section>
<section id="d80489e102" identifier="/us/pl/117/148/s2" role="instruction" style="-uslm-lc:I658141"><num class="fontsize12" value="2">SEC. 2. </num><heading>AUTHORITY TO PROTECT FAMILY MEMBERS.</heading><chapeau class="indentUp0 firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="xf51facfe-e81b-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658120">  <ref href="/us/usc/t40/s6121/a/2">Section 6121(a)(2) of title 40, United States Code</ref>, <amendingAction type="amend">is amended</amendingAction>—</chapeau><paragraph class="fontsize10" id="yf51facff-e81b-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/117/148/s2/1" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="1">(1) </num><content>in subparagraph (A), by <amendingAction type="delete">striking</amendingAction> “<quotedText>and</quotedText>” at the end;</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="yf51fad00-e81b-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/117/148/s2/2" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="2">(2) </num><content>in subparagraph (B), by <amendingAction type="add">adding</amendingAction> “<quotedText>and</quotedText>” after the semicolon; and</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="yf51fad01-e81b-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/117/148/s2/3" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="3">(3) </num><content>by <amendingAction type="add">adding</amendingAction> at the end the following:<quotedContent><subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="yf51fad02-e81b-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="C">“(C) </num><content>any member of the immediate family of the Chief Justice, any Associate Justice, or any officer of the Supreme Court if the Marshal determines such protection is necessary.”</content></subparagraph>
