Doss Memorial Act</p><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x3b9017ea-e81d-11f0-bc57-ad3ac4b1618c" style="-uslm-lc:I658180">of 2021.</p></sidenote>
<section id="d126536e90" identifier="/us/pl/117/115/s1" style="-uslm-lc:I658146"><num class="bold" value="1">SECTION 1. </num><heading>SHORT TITLE.</heading><content style="-uslm-lc:I658120">  This Act may be cited as the “<shortTitle role="act">Donna M. Doss Memorial Act of 2021</shortTitle>”.</content></section>
<section id="d126536e100" identifier="/us/pl/117/115/s2" style="-uslm-lc:I658141"><num class="fontsize12" value="2">SEC. 2. </num><heading>FINDINGS.</heading><chapeau class="indentUp0 firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="x3b908d1b-e81d-11f0-bc57-ad3ac4b1618c" style="-uslm-lc:I658120">  Congress finds the following:</chapeau><paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y3b908d1c-e81d-11f0-bc57-ad3ac4b1618c" identifier="/us/pl/117/115/s2/1" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="1">(1) </num><chapeau>A native of the State of Washington, Agent Donna Marie Doss—</chapeau><subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="y3b908d1d-e81d-11f0-bc57-ad3ac4b1618c" identifier="/us/pl/117/115/s2/1/A" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="A">(A) </num><content>proudly and honorably served her country as an Agent of the U.S. Border Patrol for more than 15 years;</content></subparagraph>
<subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="y3b908d1e-e81d-11f0-bc57-ad3ac4b1618c" identifier="/us/pl/117/115/s2/1/B" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="B">(B) </num><content>began her service with the U.S. Border Patrol in 2003; and</content></subparagraph>
<subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="y3b908d1f-e81d-11f0-bc57-ad3ac4b1618c" identifier="/us/pl/117/115/s2/1/C" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="C">(C) </num><content>graduated as part of the 569th Session of the Border Patrol Academy with Class 584 on June 6, 2005.</content></subparagraph>
</paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y3b908d20-e81d-11f0-bc57-ad3ac4b1618c" identifier="/us/pl/117/115/s2/2" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="2">(2) </num><chapeau>Agent Doss—</chapeau><subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="y3b908d21-e81d-11f0-bc57-ad3ac4b1618c" identifier="/us/pl/117/115/s2/2/A" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="A">(A) </num><content>served on a Drug Enforcement Administration Task Force on the southern border for 3 years before being assigned to the northern border;</content></subparagraph>
<subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="y3b908d22-e81d-11f0-bc57-ad3ac4b1618c" identifier="/us/pl/117/115/s2/2/B" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="B">(B) </num><content>was promoted to Supervisory Border Patrol Agent in Laredo Border Patrol Sector, where she was named an Operations Officer in 2016; and</content></subparagraph>
<subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="y3b908d23-e81d-11f0-bc57-ad3ac4b1618c" identifier="/us/pl/117/115/s2/2/C" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="C">(C) </num><content>relocated to Abilene, Texas in 2017, where she served as a Resident Agent.</content></subparagraph>
</paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y3b908d24-e81d-11f0-bc57-ad3ac4b1618c" identifier="/us/pl/117/115/s2/3" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="3">(3) </num><content>On February 2, 2019, Agent Doss responded to a call for assistance from the Texas Department of Public Safety near Interstate 20 in Tye, Texas. While on scene, Agent Doss was struck and killed by a passing vehicle.</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y3b908d25-e81d-11f0-bc57-ad3ac4b1618c" identifier="/us/pl/117/115/s2/4" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="4">(4) </num><content>Agent Doss is survived by her husband, father, mother, 2 stepchildren, a sister and a brother.</content></paragraph>

<section id="d126536e157" identifier="/us/pl/117/115/s3" style="-uslm-lc:I658141"><num class="fontsize12" value="3">SEC. 3. </num><heading>DESIGNATION.</heading><content style="-uslm-lc:I658120">  The Rocksprings station of the U.S. Border Patrol located on West Main Street in Rocksprings, Texas, shall be known and designated as the “Donna M. Doss Border Patrol Station”.<page identifier="/us/stat/136/1179">136 STAT. 1179</page></content></section>
<section id="d126536e167" identifier="/us/pl/117/115/s4" style="-uslm-lc:I658141"><num class="fontsize12" value="4">SEC. 4. </num><heading>REFERENCES.</heading><content style="-uslm-lc:I658120">  Any reference in a law, map, regulation, document, paper, or other record of the United States to the station described in section 3 shall be deemed to be a reference to the “Donna M. Doss Border Patrol Station”.</content></section>
