<section id="d84104e90" identifier="/us/pl/117/104/s1" style="-uslm-lc:I658146"><num class="bold" value="1">SECTION 1. </num><sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x97a60297-e81d-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658180"><ref href="/us/usc/t42/s201">42 USC 201 note</ref>.</p></sidenote><heading>SHORT TITLE.</heading><content style="-uslm-lc:I658120">  This Act may be cited as the “<shortTitle role="act">John Lewis NIMHD Research Endowment Revitalization Act of 2021</shortTitle>”.</content></section>
<section id="d84104e105" identifier="/us/pl/117/104/s2" role="instruction" style="-uslm-lc:I658141"><num class="fontsize12" value="2">SEC. 2. </num><heading>RESEARCH ENDOWMENTS AT BOTH CURRENT AND FORMER CENTERS OF EXCELLENCE.</heading><content class="firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="x97a629a8-e81d-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658120">  Paragraph (1) (beginning with “(1) <inline class="smallCaps">In general</inline>”) of section 464z–3(h) of the Public Health Service Act (<ref href="/us/usc/t42/s285t/h">42 U.S.C. 285t(h)</ref>) <amendingAction type="amend">is amended</amendingAction> to read as follows:<quotedContent><paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y97a629a9-e81d-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="1">“(1) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">In general</inline>.—</heading><chapeau>The Director of the Institute may carry out a program to facilitate minority health disparities research and other health disparities research by providing for research endowments—</chapeau><subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="y97a629aa-e81d-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="A">“(A) </num><content>at current or former centers of excellence under section 736; and</content></subparagraph>
<subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="y97a629ab-e81d-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="B">“(B) </num><content>at current or former centers of excellence under section 464z–4.”</content></subparagraph>
