<section id="d176262e93" identifier="/us/pl/116/285/s1" style="-uslm-lc:I658146"><num class="bold" value="1">SECTION 1. </num><heading>SHORT TITLE.<?q01?></heading><content style="-uslm-lc:I658120">  This Act may be cited as the “<shortTitle role="act">Protecting Families of Fallen Servicemembers Act</shortTitle>”.<?q01?></content></section>
<section id="d176262e106" identifier="/us/pl/116/285/s2" role="instruction" style="-uslm-lc:I658141"><num class="fontsize12" value="2">SEC. 2. </num><heading>TERMINATION OF CONTRACTS FOR TELEPHONE, MULTICHANNEL VIDEO PROGRAMMING, OR INTERNET ACCESS SERVICE BY CERTAIN INDIVIDUALS UNDER SERVICEMEMBERS CIVIL RELIEF ACT.<?q01?></heading><content class="firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="xe55bdc93-e822-11f0-bc57-ad3ac4b1618c" style="-uslm-lc:I658120">  Section 305A(a) of the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (<ref href="/us/usc/t50/s3956/a">50 U.S.C. 3956(a)</ref>) <amendingAction type="amend">is amended</amendingAction> by <amendingAction type="add">adding</amendingAction> at the end the following new paragraph:<quotedContent><paragraph class="fontsize10" id="ye55c03a4-e822-11f0-bc57-ad3ac4b1618c" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="4">“(4) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">Additional individuals covered</inline>.—</heading><chapeau>For purposes of this section, the following individuals shall be treated as a servicemember covered by paragraph (1):</chapeau><subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="ye55c03a5-e822-11f0-bc57-ad3ac4b1618c" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="A">“(A) </num><content>A spouse or dependent of a servicemember who dies while in military service or a spouse or dependent of a member of the reserve components who dies while performing duty described in subparagraph (C).</content></subparagraph>
<subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="ye55c03a6-e822-11f0-bc57-ad3ac4b1618c" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="B">“(B) </num><content>A spouse or dependent of a servicemember who incurs a catastrophic injury or illness (as that term is defined in <ref href="/us/usc/t37/s439/g">section 439(g) of title 37, United States Code</ref>), if the servicemember incurs the catastrophic injury or illness while in military service or performing duty described in subparagraph (C).</content></subparagraph>
<subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="ye55c03a7-e822-11f0-bc57-ad3ac4b1618c" style="-uslm-lc:I658124"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="C">“(C) </num><content>A member of the reserve components performing military service or performing full-time National Guard duty, active Guard and Reserve duty, or inactive-duty training (as such terms are defined in <ref href="/us/usc/t10/s101/d">section 101(d) of title 10, United States Code</ref>).”</content></subparagraph>
