<section id="d115484e85" identifier="/us/pl/116/147/s1" role="instruction" style="-uslm-lc:I658146"><num class="bold" value="1">SECTION 1. </num><heading>EXTENDING AUTHORITY FOR COMMITMENTS FOR THE PAYCHECK PROTECTION PROGRAM AND SEPARATING AMOUNTS AUTHORIZED FOR OTHER 7(A) LOANS.</heading><content class="firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="x0374e1d4-e829-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658120">  Section 1102(b) of title I of division A of the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (<ref href="/us/pl/116/136">Public Law 116–136</ref>)<sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x0374e1d5-e829-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658180"><i>Ante</i>, p. 293.</p></sidenote> <amendingAction type="amend">is amended</amendingAction> to read as follows:<quotedContent><subsection class="firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="y037508e6-e829-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="b">“(b) </num><sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x037508e7-e829-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658180">Time periods.</p></sidenote><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">Commitments for PPP and Other 7(a) Loans</inline>.—</heading><paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y037508e8-e829-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="1">“(1) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">PPP loans</inline>.—</heading><content>During the period beginning on February 15, 2020 and ending on August 8, 2020, the amount authorized for commitments under paragraph (36) of section 7(a) of the Small Business Act (<ref href="/us/usc/t15/s636/a">15 U.S.C. 636(a)</ref>) shall be $659,000,000,000.</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y037508e9-e829-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="2">“(2) </num><sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x037508ea-e829-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658180">Applicability.</p></sidenote><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">Other 7(a) loans</inline>.—</heading><content>During fiscal year 2020, the amount authorized for commitments for section 7(a) of the Small Business Act (<ref href="/us/usc/t15/s636/a">15 U.S.C. 636(a)</ref>) under the heading ‘<headingText class="smallCaps">business loans program account</headingText>’ under the heading ‘<headingText class="smallCaps">Small Business Administration</headingText>’ under title V of the Consolidated Appro priations Act, 2020 (<ref href="/us/pl/116/93">Public Law 116–93</ref>; <ref href="/us/stat/133/2475">133 Stat. 2475</ref>) shall apply with respect to any commitments under such section 7(a) other than under paragraph (36) of such section 7(a).”</content></paragraph>
