<section id="d115739e88" identifier="/us/pl/116/144/s1" style="-uslm-lc:I658146"><num class="bold" value="1">SECTION 1. </num><heading>SHORT TITLE.</heading><content style="-uslm-lc:I658120">  This Act may be cited as the “<shortTitle role="act">Major Medical Facility Authorization Act of 2020</shortTitle>”.</content></section>
<section id="d115739e98" identifier="/us/pl/116/144/s2" style="-uslm-lc:I658141"><num class="fontsize12" value="2">SEC. 2. </num><heading>AUTHORIZATION OF MAJOR MEDICAL FACILITY PROJECTS OF DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS FOR FISCAL YEAR 2020.</heading><subsection class="firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="y26f3a466-e829-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/116/144/s2/a" style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="a">(a) </num><sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x26f3a467-e829-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658180">California.</p></sidenote><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">In General</inline>.—</heading><chapeau>The Secretary of Veterans Affairs may carry out the following major medical facility projects in fiscal year 2020 at the locations specified and in an amount for each project not to exceed the amount specified for such location:</chapeau><paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y26f3a468-e829-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/116/144/s2/a/1" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="1">(1) </num><content>Construction of an outpatient clinic and national cemetery in Alameda, California, in an amount not to exceed $113,332,000.</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y26f3a469-e829-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/116/144/s2/a/2" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="2">(2) </num><content>Realignment and closure of the Livermore Campus in Livermore, California, in an amount not to exceed $311,730,000.</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y26f3a46a-e829-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/116/144/s2/a/3" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="3">(3) </num><sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x26f3a46b-e829-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658180">Kentucky.</p></sidenote><content>Construction of a new medical facility in Louisville, Kentucky, in an amount not to exceed $860,000,000.</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y26f3a46c-e829-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/116/144/s2/a/4" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="4">(4) </num><sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x26f3a46d-e829-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658180">New York.</p></sidenote><content>Construction relating to flood recovery of the medical center in Manhattan, New York, in an amount not to exceed $372,600,000.</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y26f3a46e-e829-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/116/144/s2/a/5" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="5">(5) </num><content>Construction of a spinal cord injury building with a community living center, including a parking garage, in San Diego, California, in an amount not to exceed $230,840,000.</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y26f3a46f-e829-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/116/144/s2/a/6" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="6">(6) </num><sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x26f3a470-e829-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658180">Puerto Rico.</p></sidenote><content>Completion of construction of a medical facility project, including a parking garage, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, in an amount not to exceed $307,000,000.</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y26f3a471-e829-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/116/144/s2/a/7" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="7">(7) </num><content>Construction of a new critical care center in West Los Angeles, California, in an amount not to exceed $75,790,000.</content></paragraph>

<subsection class="firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="y26f3a472-e829-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/116/144/s2/b" style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="b">(b) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">Authorization of Appropriations</inline>.—</heading><content>There is authorized to be appropriated to the Secretary of Veterans Affairs for fiscal year 2020 or the year in which funds are appropriated for the <page identifier="/us/stat/134/647">134 STAT. 647</page>
Construction, Major Projects account, $2,271,292,000 for the projects authorized in subsection (a).</content></subsection>
