<section id="d139153e92" identifier="/us/pl/115/40/s1" style="-uslm-lc:I658146"><num class="bold" value="1">SECTION 1. </num><heading>SHORT TITLE.</heading><content style="-uslm-lc:I658120">  This Act may be cited as the “<shortTitle role="act">Follow the Rules Act</shortTitle>”.</content></section>
<section id="d139153e102" identifier="/us/pl/115/40/s2" style="-uslm-lc:I658141"><num class="fontsize12" value="2">SEC. 2. </num><heading>PROHIBITED PERSONNEL ACTION BASED ON ORDERING INDIVIDUAL TO VIOLATE RULE OR REGULATION.</heading><subsection class="firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="yc3f0f20a-e82f-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/115/40/s2/a" role="instruction" style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="a">(a) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">In General</inline>.—</heading><content>Subparagraph (D) of <ref href="/us/usc/t5/s2302/b/9">section 2302(b)(9) of title 5, United States Code</ref>, <amendingAction type="amend">is amended</amendingAction> by <amendingAction type="insert">inserting</amendingAction> “<quotedText>, rule, or regulation</quotedText>” after “<quotedText>law</quotedText>”.</content></subsection>
<subsection class="firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="yc3f0f20b-e82f-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/115/40/s2/b" role="instruction" style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="b">(b) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">Technical Correction</inline>.—</heading><content>Such subparagraph is further amended by <amendingAction type="delete">striking</amendingAction> “<quotedText>for</quotedText>”.</content></subsection>
