<section id="d142674e85" identifier="/us/pl/115/364/s1" style="-uslm-lc:I658146"><num class="bold" value="1">SECTION 1. </num><heading>CLARIFICATION OF SOURCES OF AUTHORITY TO ISSUE REGULATIONS REGARDING CERTIFICATIONS AND OTHER CRITERIA APPLICABLE TO LEGISLATIVE BRANCH EMPLOYEES UNDER WOUNDED WARRIORS FEDERAL LEAVE ACT.</heading><subsection class="firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="y3f9ef957-e831-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/115/364/s1/a" role="instruction" style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="a">(a) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">In General</inline>.—</heading><chapeau><ref href="/us/usc/t5/s6329/c">Section 6329(c) of title 5, United States Code</ref>, <amendingAction type="amend">is amended</amendingAction>—</chapeau><paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y3f9ef958-e831-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/115/364/s1/a/1" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="1">(1) </num><content>by <amendingAction type="delete">striking</amendingAction> “<quotedText>In order</quotedText>” and <amendingAction type="insert">inserting</amendingAction> “<quotedText>(1) In order</quotedText>”; and</content></paragraph>
<paragraph class="fontsize10" id="y3f9ef959-e831-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/115/364/s1/a/2" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="2">(2) </num><content>by <amendingAction type="add">adding</amendingAction> at the end the following new paragraph:<quotedContent><paragraph class="indentDown1 firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="y3f9ef95a-e831-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="2">“(2) </num><chapeau>In the case of an employee of an office of the legislative branch, the certification described in paragraph (1) shall be prescribed—</chapeau><subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="y3f9ef95b-e831-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="A">“(A) </num><content>in the case of an employee of the House of Representatives, by the Committee on House Administration of the House of Representatives;</content></subparagraph>
<subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="y3f9ef95c-e831-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="B">“(B) </num><content>in the case of an employee of the Senate, by the Committee on Rules and Administration of the Senate; or</content></subparagraph>
<subparagraph class="fontsize10" id="y3f9f206d-e831-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658122"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="C">“(C) </num><content>in the case of an employee of any other office of the legislative branch, by the head of the office.”</content></subparagraph>

<subsection class="firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="y3f9f206e-e831-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" identifier="/us/pl/115/364/s1/b" style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="b">(b) </num><sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x3f9f206f-e831-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658180">Deadline.</p><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="x3f9f2070-e831-11f0-a1e4-69761a48a15a" style="-uslm-lc:I658180"><ref href="/us/usc/t5/s6329">5 USC 6329 note</ref>.</p></sidenote><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">Regulations</inline>.—</heading><content>Not later than 9 months after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Committee on House Administration of the House of Representatives, the Committee on Rules and Administration of the Senate, and the head of each other office of the legislative branch shall prescribe regulations governing the application of <ref href="/us/usc/t5/s6329">section 6329 of title 5, United States Code</ref>, including the certification requirement under subsection (c) of such section, to employees of the House of Representatives, employees of the Senate, and employees of such office, respectively.</content></subsection>
