<section id="d259369e92" identifier="/us/pl/115/352/s1" style="-uslm-lc:I658146"><num class="bold" value="1">SECTION 1. </num><heading>SHORT TITLE.</heading><content style="-uslm-lc:I658120">  This Act may be cited as the “<shortTitle role="act">Correcting Miscalculations in Veterans’ Pensions Act</shortTitle>”.</content></section>
<section id="d259369e102" identifier="/us/pl/115/352/s2" style="-uslm-lc:I658141"><num class="fontsize12" value="2">SEC. 2. </num><heading>ERROR IN PROCESSING OF ANNUITY DEPOSIT FOR FORMER MEMBERS OF THE UNIFORMED SERVICES.</heading><subsection class="firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="yab8384c8-e831-11f0-bc57-ad3ac4b1618c" identifier="/us/pl/115/352/s2/a" role="instruction" style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="a">(a) </num><heading class="fontsize10"><inline class="smallCaps">CSRS</inline>.—</heading><content><ref href="/us/usc/t5/s8334/j">Section 8334(j) of title 5, United States Code</ref>, <amendingAction type="amend">is amended</amendingAction> by <amendingAction type="add">adding</amendingAction> at the end the following:<quotedContent><paragraph class="indentUp0 firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="yab8384c9-e831-11f0-bc57-ad3ac4b1618c" style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="6">“(6)</num><subparagraph class="inline" id="yab8384ca-e831-11f0-bc57-ad3ac4b1618c"><num value="A">(A) </num><content>In calculating and processing the deposit under paragraph (1) with respect to an employee, Member, or annuitant, if the employing agency of such employee, Member, or annuitant makes an administrative error, such employing agency may pay, on behalf of the employee, Member, or annuitant, any additional interest assessed due to the administrative error.</content></subparagraph>
<subparagraph class="indentUp0 firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="yab8384cb-e831-11f0-bc57-ad3ac4b1618c" style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="B">“(B) </num><content>For purposes of subparagraph (A), the Secretary of the Senate or the Chief Administrative Officer of the House of Representatives, as appropriate, shall be considered the employing agency of a Member or Congressional employee.</content></subparagraph>
<subparagraph class="indentUp0 firstIndent0 fontsize10" id="yab8384cc-e831-11f0-bc57-ad3ac4b1618c" style="-uslm-lc:I658120"><num class="fontsize10" style="-uslm-lc:emspace2" value="C">“(C) </num><sidenote><p class="leftAlign firstIndent0 fontsize8" id="xab8384cd-e831-11f0-bc57-ad3ac4b1618c" style="-uslm-lc:I658180">Regulations.</p></sidenote><content>The Director of the Office of Personnel Management shall issue such regulations as are necessary to carry out this paragraph.”</content></subparagraph>

been authorized to be paid from that Fund, which is appropriated for the payment thereof.</content></subsection>
